Compressed Air Dryers

Compressed air is an indispensable energy for processing in many areas of industrial and technical manufacturing. Compressed air must be dry, free of oil and clean, in order to avoid any costly break downs in production. Compressed air is produced by making air denser, that is to say a compressor sucks ambient air in. This air usually contains harmful substances, particles, hydro-carbons and also humidity in the form of water vapour. If not purified and dried the compressed air can then lead to operating disturbances and thus to considerable but avoidable costs.

To protect your expensive investment that utilises compressed air, and for some applications a necessity, selecting the correct downstream equipment is critical. Compressor Solutions Ltd can supply systems to ensure the air quality complies to the standard for ISO 8573.1 classes

There are three main types of dryers, Refrigerant dryers can achieve a Dewpoint of +3°C, Membrane dryers can dry the air to -20°C. For critical and clean dry applications a Dewpoints of -40°C & -70°C a Desiccant dryer is required.
